The Angelus Duo

Sisters Melissa and Melanie Mashner grew up performing together at an early age long before establishing professional careers in music. Now as the Angelus Duo, they enjoy professional engagements throughout the Midwest and Northeastern United States, including a recent feature performance at the 2021 Southeast Michigan Flute Festival and a 2022 Faculty Recital at Adrian College. In addition, the Angelus Duo is passionate about pursuing collaborations with local composers on original works and has worked with 2016 Grammy nominated composer Cary Ratcliff and nationally recognized composer and architect of Kreuzer Collective, Ken Kreuzer. Independently, flutist Melissa Mashner is the Adjunct Professor of Flute at Adrian College, President of the Southeast Michigan Flute Association, and resides with her husband in Ann Arbor, Michigan. Harpist Melanie Mashner is the Principal Harpist of the Carmel Symphony Orchestra and Terre Haute Symphony Orchestra, and resides in Indianapolis where she performs regularly and maintains a private teaching studio.
